Today we had a very relaxed day as we travelled upstream
from Vicksburg to Memphis - trapped on the boat all day! Plenty of on board activities if that was your thing
but apart from meals we chose to read for a while and then chat with some of
the wonderful people we have met on board. A great day to just "chill".

The scenery is quite interesting and although the river is
very low there is still a lot of water. We had quite a heavy storm in the
afternoon and the lightening show added to the afternoons entertainment

Tonight's entertainment was great - Don Knowles is a local well known identity - a banjo player and has been hand making them for more than 40 years. Accompanied by a charming bass player the music was a mix of blues and jazz. We couldn't help ourselves and we purchased a couple of CD's.
